Olague Psychology is an Out of Network Provider and does not bill any insurance. We do provide you with a Superbill to recoup some of the cost from your insurance. Please see "What is a Superbill and How do I bill insurance?" for more information.

Step-by-Step Guide for Out-of-Network Reimbursement:

1. Check Your Coverage:

  • Review your insurance policy to understand your out-of-network benefits and the reimbursement process.

2. Get an Itemized Bill:

  • Obtain a detailed invoice or superbill from your healthcare provider that includes all necessary information (e.g., services provided, costs, and provider details).

3. Fill Out a Claim Form:

  • Get the out-of-network claim form from your insurance company and complete it with your details and information from the superbill.

4. Submit Your Claim:

  • Attach the superbill and any other required documents to the completed claim form.
  • Send the claim form and documents to your insurance company via mail, online portal, or fax.

5. Keep Copies:

  • Make copies of all documents (superbill, claim form, and any other paperwork) for your records.

6. Follow Up:

  • Check the status of your claim with your insurance company and provide any additional information if requested.

7. Review the Explanation of Benefits (EOB):

  • Once your claim is processed, review the EOB sent by your insurance company to see what was covered and what you owe.

8. Appeal if Needed:

  • If your claim is denied or not fully covered, follow your insurance company's appeal process, providing any additional documentation required.

Tips for a Smooth Process:

  • Understand Your Coverage: Be aware of your deductible, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums for out-of-network services.
  • Get Pre-Authorization: If possible, obtain pre-authorization from your insurance company for the out-of-network services to avoid potential issues.
  • Communicate Clearly: Keep clear records of all communications with your insurance company and healthcare provider.
  • Meet Deadlines: Submit your claim and any required documentation within the timeframe specified by your insurance policy.

By following these steps, you can navigate the process of out-of-network reimbursement with your insurance company effectively.

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment or have not notified Dr. Olague of your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment, you will be required to pay the full cost of the missed session.
